As a Kennedy Center Citizen Artist and national arts leader, I’ve spent over two decades building creative ecosystems that center artists, youth, and communities. My work lives at the intersection of theatre, music, and civic engagement—from founding Girls Rock Austin and co-organizing to build a global network of 120+ youth music programs, to producing nationally touring performances like Petra and the Wolf to over 26,000 young people, and producing large-scale festivals and conferences rooted in equity, storytelling, and cultural preservation.
My interdisciplinary education spans Ethnomusicology, Theatre, Curatorial Studies focused on Contemporary Performance, Business, Community Organizing, Arts Administration and Policy, and most recently Art + Neuroscience. This diverse foundation informs my commitment to innovation, systems-level change, and advocacy to ensure underrepresented voices are both onstage and in policy and boardroom conversations.
I’ve led multidisciplinary arts organizations, launched professional development programs for emerging artists, and designed strategic transitions for legacy institutions. Notably, I contributed to the multi-million-dollar renovation of Memphis’s historic Cossitt Library, transforming it into a vibrant hub for artists and entrepreneurs. Whether serving as Executive Artistic Director, producing public performance projects with 3,000+ participants, or consulting on youth-centered cultural strategy, I bring a collaborative, systems-focused approach to arts leadership.
Currently based in Memphis, I work nationally to support cultural institutions, artists, and emerging leaders with tools to build sustainable, inclusive, and impactful creative work.
Let’s build what’s next for the field, for the future, and for each other.

My curatorial practice is rooted in amplifying boundary-pushing artists whose work disrupts, questions, and reimagines culture. Over the past two decades, I have curated stages and programs that bring together musicians, comedians, and interdisciplinary performers who refuse to be boxed in by genre or convention. From Malian legend Khaira Arby to feminist punk icons Exene Cervenka and Viv Albertine, from the radical hip hop of Las Krudas Cubensi to the expansive sounds of Of Montreal and The Music Tapes, my programming celebrates voices that are both urgent and timeless.
Equally, I have championed the intersection of comedy and music, creating spaces where artists like Reggie Watts, Marc Maron, Maria Bamford, Demetri Martin, and Todd Barry could explore performance as both social critique and communal catharsis. Across every collaboration — whether with underground bands like The Coathangers and Girl in a Coma, local innovators like Brownout and Mother Falcon, or global icons of resilience and reinvention — my work reflects a commitment to cultural stewardship, risk-taking, and the belief that art is a catalyst for connection and change.
I see curating as an act of care: building platforms where artists can take creative risks, where communities can encounter new ideas, and where the transformative power of performance can ripple outward into broader movements for equity, imagination, and joy.
One of my deepest joys as a curator has been creating experiences for children. One of my deepest joys as a curator has been creating experiences for children. Growing up on Pee-wee’s Playhouse and Sesame Street, I learned early that art for young people can be as bold, strange, and transformative as anything for adults. I have been fortunate to invite artists not typically considered children’s performers into this space, resulting in unforgettable projects: Exene Cervenka performing for elementary school students and fielding questions from student journalists; puppet parades and playful public “invasions” that merge theater, music, and spectacle. These works reflect my commitment to bringing the same level of experimentation and care to youth programming as I do to the festival stage.
I believe artists deserve not only to be seen and heard, but also to be supported in building sustainable, thriving practices. Over the years, I’ve worked with artists at every stage of their careers — helping them grow their practice, apply for funding, and navigate the complex challenges that come with working in creative fields.

I believe artists deserve not only to be seen and heard, but also to be supported in building sustainable, thriving practices. Over the years, I’ve worked with artists at every stage of their careers — helping them grow their practice, apply for funding, and navigate the complex challenges that come with working in creative fields.
What I’ve learned is that there’s no one-size-fits-all path. Every artist has different goals, different barriers, and different ways they want to show up in the world. My role is to meet you where you are, listen carefully to what you need, and help you find practical, workable steps to get from point A to point B. Sometimes that means grant writing or strategic planning, sometimes it’s about audience development or partnerships, and sometimes it’s just having someone in your corner who understands the landscape.
I know affordability and accessibility are key. I’m committed to making this support workable for artists, and I invite you to simply get in touch. Together, we can figure out what kind of support will serve you best and design a path forward that makes sense for your work and your life.
